Sparrows Cannot Catch Me is the exciting conclusion to the two part epic which began with the author’s debut novel, Sparrows. The story commences in West Germany in 1957 and concludes in Israel in 1973. High adventure peaks when a clash of supersonic war planes duel to the death above the Sinai Desert, creating a conclusion that erupts into a flaming crescendo of suspense and action.

Utterly breathtaking! It is a wonderful sequel to his first book- Sparrows. I loved the first book and felt it was a great first book from this new author. This sequel and second book is even better, the more he writes and stretches his wings (pun intended) the higher he flies!! You must read this book...both books. I love David and everything he went through. I held my breath when he was in danger, I won't go into detail and spoil it for anyone. The cliffhanger at the end...great stuff! I actually looked at sparrows this morning driving to work and thought of this book immedately. I cannot wait for the next book to come out, please hurry and write faster R. H. I read this sequel as soon as it came out, having read Sparrows. I wanted to see what became of the boy from the first book (trying not to give anything away in case you have not read the first). I found this book to be more gripping and harder to put down, as it has a lot more "action". The ending was perfect - one of those where the author leaves it up to you. Well worth the read
Two thumbs up! A "must read" follow-up to SPARROWS! Excellent fast-forward to David's teenage life and then his maturing as an Israeli pilot. Gripping story all the way through. The writing style keeps you reading at a very fast pace; hard to put the book down. Once again, the descriptive sights, sounds and smells immerse the reader into the plot .... I swear I was in the pilot seat! Ray, my friend, you did it again! I'm anxiously awaiting your next works. ... DG
Couldn't wait to finish this book, to see the fate of David and was intrigued till the end. Although fascinated with the tale of of bravery the sub plot of true love was always apparent -a great intriguing novel of the Israeli war and the strength of character of those who fought in it. Fantastic follow on from Sparrows-the dream to be free .Definitely will be reading next novel
